Intramural Transactional Law Competition

Law student negotiating in the intramural transactional competition.
The UCLA Intramural Transactional Competition allows UCLA School of Law students to participate in a simulated real-world transaction where they gain drafting and negotiating experience. In preparation for the competition, students participate in client interviews, draft relevant provisions and then mark-up opposing provisions. After submitting an initial draft as well as comments on another team’s draft, the teams participate in two rounds of in-person negotiations. The drafts, mark-ups and negotiations are then judged by practicing attorneys.

The competition takes place each fall. Visit our Events page for more information!
