Join UCLA Law Professors James Park and Andrew Verstein for a discussion of the recent run up of stock in GameStop by a group of retail investors. On January 4, 2021, GameStop stock price was $17.26. On the last trading day of January, the stock closed at $379.71.  What happened? Why did it happen? And what does it mean for investing by the “little guy” and by major hedge funds. What is the proper role of regulators in this situation? Should we expect this to happen again?
