UCLA School of Law offers interested students the opportunity to compete in an Intramural Transactional LawMeet against other UCLA Law students. The LawMeet is a “moot court” experience for students interested in transactional practice. The LawMeet requires students to work in teams to draft a transactional agreement and to negotiate its provisions against other student teams. Teams will receive online and in-person training on acquisition agreements, indemnification provisions and contract drafting. On October 14, 2016 students will negotiate their documents against multiple teams during the meet. Teams will be judged by a panel of experts from practice who will evaluate the teams’ success in achieving the goals of the parties.
