Business Law Breakfast: Do Takeover Laws Matter?

Featuring speaker Steven Davidoff Solomon, Professor of Law; Co-Director Berkeley Center for Law, Business and the Economy.

Professor Davidoff Solomon's research focuses on financial regulation, hedge funds and private equity, mergers and acquisitions, deals and deal theory, and jurisdictional competition. He has a particular interest in international issues and interdisciplinary research in law and finance.

Professor Davidoff Solomon writes a weekly column for The New York Times as The Deal Professor, which primarily focuses on corporate issues. He also writes regularly for The New York Times DealBook and in trade journals, lectures, has testifed before the U.S. Senate, and is frequently quoted in the national media on issues related to our capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. The National Association of Corporate Directors has twice named him as one of the 100 most influential people in the United States corporate boardroom community.

UCLA School of Law is a State Bar of California approved MCLE provider. This activity qualified for one hour of general MCLE credit.
