This thoughtful discussion on Great Britain’s vote to leave the European Union featured a panel of experts addressing the various structures that the unwinding might take and potential trade and security issues raised by Britain’s exit.
Panelists were:
Charles Ries, Vice President, International at RAND. Mr. Ries is a veteran U.S. diplomat who has served as an ambassador and U.S. foreign service officer in both the Middle East and Europe.
Bernadette Greene, Deputy Consul General from the British Consulate-General in Los Angeles. Ms. Greene works to enhance U.K./U.S. ties by developing, promoting and facilitating local relations across a wide spectrum of areas – political, commercial, consular, cultural, non-profit and civil society.
The panel was moderated by UCLA Professor of Law Kal Raustiala, Director, UCLA Ronald W. Burkle Center for International Relations; Faculty Director, UCLA International Education Office.
